Feel-good fun three times over

"Doing the right thing makes you super!" is the motto of an unusually talented trio of elementary school superheroes in Disney’s Teamo Supremo. This new animated series is being aired on the Disney Buzz block every Friday at 5 to 7 p.m. and weekends at 2 to 4 p.m.

Teamo Supremo
follows the adventures of a quirky triumvirate of superheroes: Captain Crandall, Rope Girl and Skate Lad, a group sworn to protect the world from the forces of evil… and still finish all their homework! With its unique visual look and non-stop action, adventure and comedy, Teamo Supremo is a must-see for kids and animation fans.

Teamo Supremo
battles a colorful array of comic villains ranging from Birthday Bandit (voiced by Mark Hamill, famous for playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movies), a deranged clown bent on stealing everyone’s gifts, and The Laser Pirate (voiced by Hollywood heavyweight Tim Curry), a cyber-swashbuckler in search of ultimate power to the insidious Baron Blitz ( Maurice LaMarche) and sizable bad guy Mr. Large (voiced by comedian Ed Asner). Still, when villains hear the familiar battle cry of "Wuh-pah! Buh-za! Chi-ka!" they know it’s Teamo Supremo coming and it’s time to flee!

Teamo Supremo
is reminiscent of the feel-good, pure-fun Saturday morning cartoons. It pays homage to the classic influences of the 1960s cartoons only this time, it’s produced using 21st technology. The series has a groovy feel, dubbed by the director of Teamo Supremo, Joe Horne is "maximum pop-o-vision." It is recurrent throughout the series in its sound, look and stories. If you were to mix rock n’ roll and comic books, the result would be Teamo Supremo.

Spencer Breslin, who starred with Bruce Willis in Disney’s The Kid, voices the role of Teamo Supremo leader Captain Crandall. He has an enthusiastic blend of ultra-intelligence, cunning instincts and heart.

Alana Ubach (who starred in the blockbuster comedy Legally Blonde) does double duty for the voices of Skate lad (a Han Solo-esque rogue with extreme skateboard talents) and of Rope Girl (a uniquely-balanced kid with unparalleled ump-rope wielding capabilities).

The trio doesn’t possess an iota of natural superpowers. They just rely on their unique skills and super gadgets to fight villains.

The main cast of Teamo Supremo also features Martin Mull and Fred Willard, who were honored for their influence on television at last year’s US Comedy Arts Festival. On Teamo Supremo, Mull provides the voice of ultra-hip governor Kevin, a well-loved leader of the State whose vocabulary and groovy attitude are permanently entrenched in 1967. Williard voices the role of Paulsen, a wizard of gadgetry within the secret "Level 7" laboratory. Paulsen is to Teamo Supremo what "Q" is to James Bond.

The core cast includes Julia Sweeny, Brian Doyle Murray, Rachel Crane, Syndey Walsh and Jeff Bennett. Robert Stack and Gary Owens add to the fun as the voices of Crandall’s grandfathers, a pair of retired superheroes with mentoring skills.

Celebrity guest voices have filled many villainous roles including Michael McKean, Joe Flaherty, Wallace Shawn, Nicole Sulivan, Diedrich Bader and Michael J. Pollard.

Says Executive Producer of Teamo Supremo Phil Walsh, "Every kid will be able to see the qualities within these characters and those see within themselves and will easily identify with them. Every child wants to be a superhero – these kids are actually doing something about it."

Recently, producer and director of Teamo Supremo, Joe Horne flew from Burbank, California to Manila to join the finals of Disney Channel’s The Teamo Supremo Create Your Own Villain Finals. Exciting prizes were awarded to Christopher Aronson and Paolo Manuel Guanzon which include the chance for their art works to be featured in a Teamo Supremo comic series and poster.

Teamo Supremo
is aired on the Disney Buzz block every Friday, 5 to 7 p.m. and weekends at 2 to 4 p.m. exclusively on the Disney Channel.
