Katrina accuses Angelu of ‘boyfriend-grabbing’

Curtain-raisers:

• Just when you and I thought that his biological father died a "hero" (take note, now in quotation marks) during the Gulf War, Carlos Agassi surprised everybody when he guested on The Buzz last Sunday and tearfully confessed that, among other things, he was actually a battered child and that his father is very much alive. Carlos contradicted what he has been telling reporters during interviews, now putting his father in a bad light. What was that for, Carlos?

• But the "on-cam" reunion between Christopher Roxas and his foreigner father, also on The Buzz, was a real tearjerker, a real surprise. Christopher thanked the father of his girlfriend Gladys Reyes who acted as a real father in the 22 years that Christopher didn’t know the real one.

• Doktora Vicki Belo only laughed at the (unfounded and absolutely ridiculous) rumor that she "took home" Jericho Rosales for P50,000 (only!?!). The truth is that the doktora is enjoying an incredibly fulfilled relationship with her beloved "JS."

This flash report was called in by Funfare’s "trouble-prone" DPA yesterday at presstime:

"Did you know that Katrina Paula has declared ‘war’ against Angelu de Leon? Katrina has just discovered that Angelu is trying to ‘grab’ her boyfriend who is reportedly the son of a mayor (city or town not mentioned). Katrina is claiming that the guy has been her boyfriend for more than six years now and she even refers to him as ‘ang asawa ko.’ According to Katrina, the moment she crosses paths with Angelu, she won’t say a single word, she won’t even engage Angelu in any word war. Sabi ni Katrina, ‘Basta sasapukin ko na lang siya para matauhan siya. Mang-aagaw siya ng asawa ng may-asawa. Hindi pa gumagaling ang sugat niya, nagla----i na siya.’ O, di ba giyera na ’yan?"

The sugat (wound) that Katrina is referring to is the scar from the Caesarian operation Angelu underwent barely two months ago when she gave birth to her second love child, whose father hasn’t been properly identified until now. The Marcos scion Angelu had a fling with is reportedly "not the one" while Angelu’s one-time boyfriend (of 10 days?) Jojo Manlongat, brother of former child actress Beth Manlongat, vehemently denied that he’s "the one."

Well, it seems that Angelu never learns, if it’s indeed true that she’s getting involved with somebody again – so soon? The first time she did it, the public swallowed her "alibi" hook, line and sinker, so she was able to make a successful comeback, thanks largely to the guidance of her erstwhile manager Veanna Fores who has already cut any professional ties with Angelu (now reportedly managed by her own mother).

This time around, will the public react in the same forgiving way to Angelu’s comeback attempt (even if she still bears tell-tale signs of post-natal avoirdupois)? Once is enough, they say, and without her Tita Veanna beside and behind her, I doubt if Angelu’s career path can follow a straight line.

Meanwhile, Angelu is sufficiently "forewarned" about Katrina’s "threat" against her since Angelu, I’m sure, knows fully well the fury of a woman scorned. There you are, Angelu, don’t say that we didn’t warn you!

Piolo at his sexiest best in new flick

Brace yourselves for a "new" Piolo Pascual in his new starrer with Judy Ann Santos, Star Cinema’s Bakit Di Totohanin? (formerly titled Girl Boxer), directed by Boots Plata and slated to be released end of August.

The movie, as gleaned from the teaser now being regularly flashed on Channel 2, is calculated to titillate a lot more women because in his role as the trainer of Judy Ann (as a girl boxer), Piolo is bare from the waist up most of the time, wearing only a pair of tight boxer shorts which leave the rest of his body for fans out there to enjoy and fantasize over.

"He has the bulges in the right places," said direk Boots who rubbed oil all over Piolo’s beautiful body to make it more, uh, inviting. "Iba’t-ibang bulges and I don’t mean only muscular bulges," added the naughty direk.

Those who were at the shooting of Bakit Di Totohanin? swear that Piolo (especially) will draw more (lustful?) oh’s and ah’s once the movie is shown. "I tell you," said direk Boots, "pati mga lesbiana magiging babae when they see Piolo."

That we have to see.

The sister, not Geneva

FLASH: As I wound up typing this column, I got a text message from Geneva Cruz (who I later talked to on the cellphone), denying that, contrary to Funfare’s headline story yesterday, she’s pregnant.

"How I wish," Geneva said good-humoredly. "Gusto ko na nga, e."

And she continued to deny that she and KC Montero are an item, although their actions speak louder than their words – and vehement denials.

"It’s my (older) sister Aubrey who is pregnant," said Geneva, "and she has just left for San Francisco where her husband lives. My whole family is migrating to the States in December and I’ll be left alone here. I have several commitments here and I don’t think I’ll follow them there. Maybe early next year, I’ll just go there for a vacation."

Incidentally, Geneva’s friend Rachel Alejandro is deadset on migrating to the States (probably with boyfriend Lee Robin Salazar) before the year is over.

"Baka magkita kami doon ni Rachel," said Geneva whose ex-husband Paco Arespacochaga himself migrated to L.A. last June.
