The Fil-Italian actress portrays three women whose innermost secrets are revealed in Red Diaries, directed by Maryo J. delos Reyes, written by Jun Lana, and produced by Regal Entertainment.

Susanna is the two-timing mistress. Cara is the prodigal daughter, the sexual fantasy of a seminarian. Lucila is the martyr and battered wife of a policeman.

Red Diaries is three stories tied up to red diaries where the three women write the peaks and valleys of their lives, a mixture of sex, violence and comedy. Seldom has an actress, especially one as young as Assunta, been given such a big break, launching her to solo stardom. She accepted the challenge with much enthusiasm, buoyed up by the trust and confidence given to her by director De Los Reyes. The roles called for nudity, sexy and bloody scenes, which Assunta likes to believe she did justice to.
