Alvin, how could you

And finally, after keeping quiet on the Funfare scoop on Alvin Patrimonio's real girlfriend (20-year-old Maila Koelman, who's half-Dutch and half-Ilongga, based with her parents in Bacolod where the family owns a recreation complex), Kris Aquino cried a river in yesterday's edition of The Buzz and said her piece, once and for all.

Here's how the repartee went between Kris and co-host Boy Abunda:

Kris: I choose to keep my silence. I want to keep some dignity to myself. All my Mom asked me is was if he even bothered to call and check kung kumusta ako.

BOY: Did he?

KRIS: No! Wala and I think that answers it. Siguro I'm trying my very best to keep my emotions intact. Mga babae, Boy, can be very vulnerable lalong-lao na pag my unfinished business kayo.

When I was 17-years old, I went out with Alvin briefly. Mabilis lang talaga because at that time meron na siyang Cindy (Conwi, Alvin's estranged wife).

And then on TV Patrol, nalaman ko na ikinasal na sila so end of the story. But life move on and our paths did not cross again until end of 1993. Early of 1994, we did a movie called Tasya Pantasya. Flop!

After that movie, I did Nandito Ako with Phillip Salvador. It's no secret I fell in love with Phillip. Phillip and I had Joshua. Phillip was not free to marry me. Phillip's marriage (to Sony Dabao) was not yet annulled and Alvin is in the same situation. Alvin is not legally free to get married. I never sought him out. Malinis ang conscience ko doon. Nagtagpo ang landas namin ulit. Oo, totoo yon! Kasi natuto ako from my mistake. For once in my life, I took things slow. I wanted to be really sure that if I were to give my heart to anyone, kaya nila ako panindigan.

Gagawin ko ba 'yon all over again? But I did hope, yon ang mali sa akin.

Boy: Dahil pinaasa ka?

KRIS: It takes two to tango and I wanted to believe so badly. I may seem like the girl who has everything, but I am lonely. I do go home alone, and I'm really longing to spend my life with someone who will love and respect me. It did not turn out the way I had hope it would turn out, kasi nasaktan ako. Totoo yon. Nasaktan ako pero wala akong karapatan, Boy, to be bitter about it now because first of all hindi ako ang babaeng labing dalawang taon sa piling ni Alvin. I am not the mother of his children. If there is one woman who has behaved with so much dignity through all this, that is Cindy Conwi Patrimonio.

And if she can behave so much like a lady, anong karapatan ko ngayon na manisi ng tao? Tama ang mga kapatid ko. They told me, "Kris, just be careful. Don't let it appear that you're a homewrecker." Boy, malinis ang conscience ko. I was never in the picture during the times that Alvin and Cindy were having problems. I learned a very important lesson with this and I'm sharing this, hoping it will save people who are going through the same experience. And also, I learned that sometimes you give your trust, sometimes you give your respect, it doesn't mean 'yon ang isusukli sa iyo. But it doesn't mean you lose hope. And all my Mom said was, "At least you know what kind of a man he is. Because in a scene of an accident when someone is hurt, you don't just leave the person. You check up on that person. Kung kumusta ka na? " Never niyang ginawa yon.

And if there is one person who behaved like a man throughout all these, it was Phillip because noong tinanong ako ni Phillip kung totoo ito, isa lang ang sinabi niya sa akin, Boy. He told me na , "Kris, if ever magmamahal ka ulit, siguraduhin mo lang na 'yung lalaking yon hindi lang mapapantayan kung hindi mahihigitan yung pagmamahal at respetong ibinigay ko sa iyo.'"

I'm going through a painful time, Boy. But it's something I know I'll survive because totoo yon, God doesn't give you everything. There are certain things na hindi para sa iyo. Tanggapin mo na lang and move on and you appreciate what He has given you. And I just wanted to thank my Mom, Phillip, my son Joshua, my staff and all my friends because they've seen me through this and I hope with that tapos na sana talaga and I'll never bring up his name again because he has no place in my life and he has no place in my future.

Sunshine of Cesar's life

So it's definite: Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz are finally getting (if they're not yet secretly) married on Sept. 14, not the 7th according to initial reports because the pastor officiating at their Christian wedding is, according to Sunshine, available only on the 14th.

So rush-rush is the planning, so frenzied are the preparations that Sunshine (especially) and Cesar are only in the process of formally and personally inviting their ninongs and ninangs, with Sunshine hardly having time to drop by Eric Pineda's shop to fit for her wedding gown.

In interviews, Sunshine has been saying that she and Cesar want to have a child soon after their wedding. "Otherwise," joked Sunshine on national television, "if we delay our having a child, Cesar said that baka naman the moment nag-debut ang anak namin, baka raw naka-tungkod na siya."

Well, not really -- hopefully!

If and when Sunshine and Cesar had a child a year after their Sept. 14 wedding -- or sooner? knock on wood! -- Cesar should be 38 (because, according to Sunshine, "He's only 37, 15 years older than me"). Add 18 to 38 and Cesar will be "only 56" when their daughter (if their first-born is a girl) has her coming-out party.

That first-born will be made in Hawaii where Sunshine wants to have their honeymoon -- you know, Night and you and blue Hawaii!

Which simply means that after their wedding, Sunshine will really have no time to resume her career (she plans to go into semi-retirement, anyway, doesn't she?) because she'll buckle down to working on their first child -- with Cesar's help, of course!

Meanwhile, Sunshine is still trying hard to adjust to being stepmother (madrasta) to Cesar's two children (by his late wife), Angelo and Angela who, at 17, is only five years Sunshine's junior (Sunshine is 22).

"Eventually," said Sunshine, "I'm sure magiging mag-ka-barkada kami ni Angela."
