DLSU College of Law partners with University of Hong Kong

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - To provide students with hands-on experience in handling international law, De La Salle University College of Law (CoL) entered into a partnership with the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Faculty of Law on a student exchange program.

The partnership has allowed 12 DLSU CoL third year students to be part of a 12-day externship program from January 2 to 14.

Under the program, the students served as court marshals in the High Court of Hong Kong assisting judges in drafting court decisions. They were mentored by different judges and professors in Hong Kong. The students also attended seminars on international law.

CoL vice dean Jocelyn Cruz said the College would be eyeing other partnership programs with HKU. The College, under dean Jose Manuel Diokno and with the assistance of DLSU CoL Board of Advisors member Judge Anselmo Reyes, would encourage interested students from DLSU to avail full PhD scholarships offered by HKU.
