Dr. Love

Magising ka sa totoong daigdig

Dear Dr. Love,

First of all, a pleasant day to you and all your staff.

I’m one of your avid readers. Glad to know your column is always open and willing to give golden advices. This is my first letter and I’m hoping that you will help me find an answer to some questions in my mind.

I want to know or confirm my feelings that I’ve kept since I was 13 years-old. It started when I saw him on television. I saw him playing basketball in the professional league.

I know he is older than me for about 11 or 12 years. When I know that their team will play I always watch him.

The worst is, I can’t stop thinking of him. And there are times I ask myself why he? What’s this feeling that I have for him? Is this a simple crush or love? After five years, he still here in my heart and the feeling is still strong. Eventhough I have suitors in our school, no one can take his place.

Please Dr. Love, help me. Thanks again, more power and good day.

Aries

Dear Aries,

I don’t know how young you are. But I’m sure what you feel now is only an admiration for a celebrity which in due time you will out grow.

Admiration, infatuation or crush shouldn’t be mistaken for love, although the latter may begin with such emotions that we have mentioned.

Love develops over time. And it takes some time knowing your object of admiration personally.

Don’t waste your life living in a fantasy world. Merong totoong mundong dapat mong harapin.
