Jack Nicklaus International invitational qualifier slated

MANILA, Philippines — The Jack Nicklaus International Invitational “Play for your Country” Philippine qualifying tournament will be held May 7 with another huge field expected to see action at Sta. Elena Golf Club in Cabuyao, Laguna.

The tournament will select the two-man golf team, which will represent the country in the Jack Nicklaus International Invitational in Columbus, Ohio, the birthplace of golf legend Jack Nicklaus.

Rustan Marketing Corp., exclusive distributor of Jack Nicklaus sports and leisure wear for men and women, will again host the 12th staging of the annual event, which serves as part of the global marketing initiatives of the Jack Nicklaus Group of Companies.

Actors John Estrada and Derek Ramsay topped last year’s Phl qualifying then went on to best a tough field in the international finals.

The qualifiers will win an expense-paid trip, including round-trip airfare, VIP access to the Memorial Tournament, accommodation and hospitality at a 5-star hotel in Columbus, Ohio where they will compete with other national champions from 12 other countries.
