Cop accidentally kills self

CEBU CITY , Philippines  – A policeman died when he accidentally shot himself while cleaning his gun at his residence in Barangay Sudlon Lahug in this city on Thursday. 

Senior Police Officer 2 Ruel Ayuman’s wife Belinda found his bloodied body in their room.

Belinda said she was ironing his uniform when she heard gunshots. 

Ayuman was declared dead on arrival at the Perpetual Succor Hospital. 

SPO2 Winston Ybañez ruled out foul play, but said Belinda would still be subjected to a paraffin test. – Mae Clydyl Avila/ The Freeman
