Warm weather to persist in MM
MANILA, Philippines - Metro Manila and other parts of the country will continue to experience warm weather until the weekend due to the easterlies, according to the country’s weather bureau.
Weather forecaster Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said yesterday the northeast monsoon is likely to regain strength this weekend until early next week but would only bring cold temperatures over Northern and Central Luzon.
“We expect a surge of the northeast monsoon this weekend, but temperatures would not be as cold as in the past weeks,” Estareja said.
He said the northeast monsoon has reached its peak, adding that it would likely end by mid-March.
He said cloudy skies with isolated light rains would prevail over Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region.
Metro Manila and the rest of the Philippines would have fair weather apart from isolated rains and thunderstorms, he said.
