Unforgettable fiesta experience

THE EAR - The Freeman

Long drive. A family of five took a long drive from their northern hometown to a city in the south just to celebrate fiesta with their relatives. The Ear informer said the family embarked in a late afternoon drive towards the city over the weekend, aiming to arrive in time of the sumptuous banquet by a renowned catering provider. While driving, the husband swore to relish “panit sa inasal” upon arrival, as he was preparing for it by not eating pork meal for several days before that day.

Stuck in traffic. The Ear informer said the family decided to take a peek at the city’s carnival across the city hall, as requested by their children. But when they arrived a few meters from the carnival, they were stuck in a “standstill” traffic situation. From past 7:30 in the evening, they remained in front of the city hall, as the vehicles were moving one to three meters for every 10 to 20 minutes. The clock ticked past 10:00 in the evening when they braved through a 500-meter long traffic standstill, and passed the junction near the city hall.

Forego. And so the family decided to forego the fiesta dinner, and went straight to a fastfood establishment near the place to eat their late night family dinner. The Ear informer said the husband murmured: "Wa nay panit sa inasal ron, kun naa pa man hawot na."
