MANILA, Philippines – The widest assortment of cellphone units and gadgets will be showcased when the 23rd Telecommunications and Accessories Fair, the biggest of its kind in the country, kicks off from June 10 to July 4 at the Greenhills Shopping Center in San Juan City.

The fair boasts of 1,400 participants, mostly importers, manufacturers, mall suppliers, traders, wholesalers and retailers who are seasoned businessmen whose career has been propelled with their regular participation in the event.

The Telecommunications Fair, aside from selling the latest top-of-the-line cellphone units, also has assorted gadgets and accessories under one roof, like iPods, iPads, tablets, powerbanks, laptops, chargers, cables, cases and screen protectors, memory devices, speakers, headsets and earphones.

At the fair, there are stalls that offer cellphone repair and troubleshooting services.

Other items available at the fair are RTWs, bags and luggages, novelty items, collectibles and corporate giveaways, footwear, jewelry, ornamentals and food items.

For the 25-day duration of the event organized by Prime Asia Trade Planners and Convention Organizers headed by Henry G. Babiera, the shopping center‘s upscale image will be transformed into a “masa” image or tianggehan as it adopts a Divisoria-style bargain hunters haven for shoppers from all walks of life who want value for their money and yearn for a convenient, safe and comfortable shopping experience.

Running the Greenhills Tianggehan since 1999 with a different concept every other month, Babiera helped boost the career of budding traders by encouraging them to put up stalls and giving them helpful pointers regarding the sourcing of their products from manufacturers, exporters and wholesalers.

At the same time, he has been regularly helping generate livelihood opportunities for workers of stall owners as well as those of suppliers based in the provinces.

This is sustainable livelihood for the countryside benefiting more than 100,000 workers producing the best Philippine-made products that can give products from other parts of the world a run for their money.
