Mora, Subido pumitas ng tig-2 ginto

MANILA, Philippines - Umagaw ng eksena sina field athlete Michael Mora at swimmer Roland Subido matapos kumuha ng tig-dalawang gold medal sa 5th PSC-PHILSPADA National Paralympic Games kahapon sa Marikina Sports Center.

Isang dating national athlete, naghari si Mora sa men’s discus throw at shotput, habang ang national swimmer namang si Subido ay nagdomina sa men’s 400-meter freestyle at 100-meter butterfly events sa torneong suportado ng Philippine Sports Commission at ni Marikina City Mayor Del De Guzman.

“Hopefully makabalik si Michael sa national team pagkatapos ng   laro niya dito,” sabi ng ina ni Mora na si Aling Betty.

Naglaro ang 34-anyos na si Mora noong 2011 Indonesia at 2013 Myanmar Asean Para Games ngunit nabigong mag-uwi ng anumang medalya.

Hangad naman ni Subido, nanalo ng isang silver at bronze medal noong 2015 Singapore ASEAN Para Games, na maidagdag ang ginto sa 50-meter at 100-meter freestyle sa kanyang koleksyon.

“Malaking bagay itong pagiging miyembro ko ng national team maski na may kapansanan,” wika ng 26-anyos na si Subido, isang mangingisda mula sa Ba­langiga, Eastern Samar na ang kaliwang binti ay pinutol matapos ang isang mo­torcycle accident.
