SC ruling sa voter’s receipt, 12-0

MANILA, Philippines - Pinagtibay ng Supreme Court (SC) sa botong 12-0 ang naunang desisyon nito kaugnay sa pag-imprenta ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ng voter’s receipt sa May 9 elections. Ayon kay SC spokesperson Atty. Theodore Te, tatlong justices ang hindi bumoto na kinabibilangan nina Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio, Associate Justice Lucas Bersamin at Associate Justice Diosdado Peralta. Nauna nang nagdesisyon ang kataas-taasang hukuman sa botong 14-0, na dapat mag-imprenta ng voter’s receipt ang poll body. Ngunit naghain ng motion for reconsideration ang Comelec. Iginiit ng Comelec na magpapahaba ito sa voting hours. May pangamba ring ma-postpone ang halalan kapag natuloy ang pag-imprenta ng voter’s receipt.
