3 dead, 13 hurt in Bulacan mishap

MALOLOS, Philippines – Three persons died while 13 others were injured when an armored vehicle collided with a passenger jeepney in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan on Monday night.

One of the fatalities was identified as jeepney driver Erjel Relox.

The names of the two other fatalities, who were Relox’s passengers, were not immediately available.

The 13 injured passengers were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Reports said the jeepneywas headed for Sapang Palay when it collided with the armored vehicle driven by Ryan Rey Bautista in Bararangay Santo Cristo.

Bautista reportedly lost control of the wheel, causing his vehicle to swerve.

Police were preparing to file charges against Bautista, who surrendered after the incident.
