Bronze medals went to Farrell Eldrian S. Wu (MGC New Life Christian Academy) and Albert John L. Patupat (Holy Rosary College) while Kyle Patrick F. Dulay (Philippine Science High School - Main) received an honorable mention.

Raymond Joseph C. Fadri (Makati Science High School) completed the six-man team.

According to team leader Dr. Jose Ernie Lope of the University of the Philippines Diliman, the team placed 36th out of 104 competing countries, bringing the Philippines closer to Asian powerhouses Hong Kong (28th) and Indonesia (29th), and beating the usually strong countries of Belarus (39th) and the Netherlands (43rd). Dr. Lope said this is the best finish for the Philippines since it first participated in the annual event in 1989.
