2 ka Lancers gisuspenso

CEBU, Philippines - Gisuspenso sa University of the Visayas (UV) ang ilang Cameroonian recruits nga si Jeffakins Aguara ug local star player nga si Francisco Arong dihang hapit kini magsinukmagay niadtong Huwebes atol sa ilang duwa sa 14th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) basketball event didto sa Cebu Coliseum.  

Ang UV mipahamtang og ban sa duha ka players  sa nahibiling mga duwa sa  Green Lancers karon nga season.

Kahinumduman,  nabaniog ang ngil-ad nga insidente  sa duha ka Lancers atol sa kapildihan sa UV batok sa University of San Carlos  (USC) Warriors, 61-67 diinsila napakyas pag-abante sa finals.

“The University of the Visayas will suspend Jeffakins Aguara and Francisco Arong for the entire season of the CESAFI League. As the team manager of the Green Lancers and after careful deliberation of the facts, I recommend the suspension of the players after being involved in an unsportsmanship attitude during a game between UV and USC last September 16, 2014,”  matud pa sa official statement gikan ni Cebu First District Rep. Si Gullas, kinsa mao  sab ang UV Assistant Vice President for Finance and Administration, dismayado sa nahitabo ug sa gipakita sa duha niya ka players.

Nakasabot si Gullas sa gibuhat nga pagtukmod ni Arong kang Aguara kay  luag kaayo ang  depensa niini sa  himalatyong oras sa duwa hinungdan nga ang karibal niyang import nga si  Shooster Olago nakalusot.

Niulbo ang ngil-ad  nga insidente human si Olago miiskor og yano kaayong  two-handed  dunk  nga naghatag sa Warriors sa ilang labing daku nga labaw nga 10 puntos sa nahabiling 35 segundos.

“This fact angered Arong who has been obserbing the play of Aguara. The bench as well took notice that, indeed, Aguara never heeded to the coach’s gameplan,” matud pa ni Gullas.

Apan si Gullas wala usab mikonsiderar sa gibuhat ni Arong tungod kay dili usab angay ang gibuhat niining reaksyon ilabi na ngadto sa kaugalingon niyang teammate.

Sa  ilang gihimong imbestigasyon, si Gullas miingon nga si Aguara maoy gitahasan pagdepensa ni Olago nga naa sa gameplan sa coaching staff sa UV. Apan si Aguara imbes iyang tumanon, milikoy hinuon kini.

“It is very improper and reprehensible to show overtly his disappointment over his teammate before a crowd. We may consider that some may cast sympathy with his plight, but it turned out to many as a mockery,” dugang pa ni Gullas.
