Hazing itigil na! – Pnoy
CLARK, Pampanga - Nanawagan si Pangulong Aquino sa mga elders ng mga fraternity na ipatigil na ang mga hazing matapos masawi ang sophomore student ng De La Salle-College of St. Benilde na si Guillo Cesar Servando sa hazing ng Tau Gamma Phi fraternity.
“I would like to call upon all the elders of these various fraternities even if you had to undergo the same, isn’t it about time that you were the most active in making sure that it stops,” pahayag ni PNoy sa 67th anniversary ng Philippine Air Force (PAF).
Ayon sa Pangulo, matagal nang umiiral ang Anti-Hazing Law kaya dapat mahigpit na ipatupad ang batas na ito.
“There is an Anti-Hazing Law already in the books. So one has to ask, what is lacking in terms of enforcement that prevents us from exercising the full penalties embodied in that law. I will consult with our legal experts and also the law enforcement side as to extensively what more can be done,” dagdag pa ng Pangulo.
Bilang isang non-fratman ay hindi umano maintindihan ng Pangulo ang dahilan ng pananakit na bahagi ng initiation sa hazing.
