Three more Cebu millionaire solons
CEBU, Philippines - Three more of Cebu’s congressmen belong to the millionaires’ circle, as gleaned from their Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN).
Sixth district Representative Gabriel Luis Quisumbing has P16.3 million as of December 31, 2013. He declared no real properties and liabilities in SALN and have over P16 million in personal properties.
The amount is a million higher than in 2012, where he declared his wealth to be around P15.3 million.
He is sixth on the list of millionaire Cebu’s congressmen.
Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP) Partylist Representative Raymond Democrito Mendoza, on the other hand, has a net worth of P4.1 million after declaring that he got P1.7 million in liabilities.
Mendoza is followed by Magdalo Party-list Representative Francisco Ashley Acedillo, who has a net worth of P1.3 million. He declared P100,000 in real properties and PP2.1 million in personal properties, or total assets of P2.2 million. He has liabilities totaling P872,000.
Cebu south district Representative Rodrigo Abellanosa is the richest Cebu congressman with a net worth of P71 million.
He is followed by former Cebu governor now third district Representative Gwendolyn Garcia (P57.4 million). Fourth district Representative Benhur Salimbangon is next with P49.3 million. He is trailed by Cebu City north district Representative Raul del Mar (P21.8 million).
Cebu fifth district Representative Joseph Felix Marie Durano is fifth with P16.7 million net worth, while second district Representative Wilfredo Caminero (P11.6 million) is seventh. First district Representative Gerald Anthony Gullas is eighth with P9.5 million. Representative Aileen Radaza of the lone district of Lapu-Lapu City is ninth spot, while Acedillo rounds up the list.
Meanwhile, of 289 lawmakers in the Philippines, boxing icon Emmanuel Pacquiao of Saranggani Province remains the richest with P1.3 billion in actual wealth as of December 31, 2013.
Next to Pacquiao is Rep. Imelda Marcos of Ilocos Norte, whose wealth is at P922.8 million. Imelda is the wife of late president Ferdinand Marcos.
Marcos is followed by House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte, Jr. (P819.7 million) Negros Occidental third district Rep. Alfredo “Albee†Benitez (P713.9 million), and Negros Occidental first district Representative Julio Ledesma IV (P617.3 million). (FREEMAN)
