Summer fun activities at BGC

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Bonifacio Global City (BGC) has been blazing a trail for being a city that does things differently and promotes an active street life. BGC aims to provide summer fun activities for people.

With BGC Summer 2014, BGC invites everyone to its green and retail spaces for events and activities with a sunny twist. The line-up of activities includes Summer Installations featuring cooling stations (set until May 31), where customers get to recharge themselves at the refreshment stands and cabanas with mists located around Bonifacio High Street; Urban Beach Lounge (May 16 to 25) brings the beach to the city with sandboxes for kids and beach chairs and parasols for lounging around; Weekend Highlights includes outdoor movies (May 17 to 18), showcasing popular movies for the family.

Everyone is encouraged to bring out picnic mats and baskets for the free activity, BGC Live Summer: Forbidden Broadway (May 23 to 25), a first in BGC, together with Upstart Productions, where theater is brought to the park with a parody of Broadway classics amidst the relaxed setting of Kasalikasan; #LastDaysofSummer Concert (May 31) which caps off summer 2014 with Yolanda Moon and Up Dharma Down at Bonifacio High Street; art activities of Art BGC Summer such as Chalk the Walk (Saturdays and Sundays, May 17 to June 1) and Art Mart (May 17 to 18 and May 24 to 25) and free art and fitness workshops open to kids and kids at heart.
