Winners of Yupangco Music Academy’s Guitar Festival and Competition announced

MANILA, Philippines - Yupangco Music Academy (YMA), formerly known as Yamaha School of Music, recently held its Guitar Festival and Competition exclusively for its guitar students.

Participants converged at the Crowne Plaza Hotel to compete, with winners of different categories hailing from different YMA Metro Manila branches. The winners in various categories are: Spencer Ong (Main Office School), Jan Nicole Estampador (SM Megamall) and Ricardo Barba (Main Office School) for Guitar Solo A, B and C categories, respectively; Isabel Patricia Liberato (SM Megamall), Xyro Angelo Alamillo (Congressional) and Ramon Miguel Imbao (SM Megamall) for Electric Acoustic A, B and C categories, respectively; and Antonio Concepcion (Commonwealth) for Electric Guitar category. Guitar students from Main Office School were tagged as the grand winners for Classical Ensemble Category for their rendition of March Militaire, and students from SM Megamall were declared as over-all winners for Pop Ensemble Category for their outstanding performance of Dance with Me.
