Big field vies in E’Ridge Fore by Four

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - With a fully-booked roster of 246 teams or 492 players, the Fore By Four Invitational of the Eagle Ridge Golf Country Club in Gen. Trias, Cavite is reclaiming its spot as among the country’s biggest member-guest tournaments.

The tourney, slated Nov. 15-16, drew the second biggest participation since its introduction with 25 more teams still bidding to join when the host club closed registration.

The Fore By Four is the only member-guest to be played in four championship courses, putting the field will play under the same conditions and finish virtually at the same time.

“The beauty of a four-course set-up is that we are able to maximize everything plus it puts everyone in equitable conditions on both days,” said Eagle Ridge general manager Raymond Bunquin.

Events on tap are Classes A, B, C and D and ladies for the regular member-guest events, the member-member, the guest-guest and the sponsors division. Each team will play at two of the four Eagle courses (Aoki, Dye, Faldo and Norman).

Two Mitsubishi Mirage G4 sedans are at stake as the major raffle prizes in the year’s Fore by Four presented by Delta Airlines, Korea Airlines, ICTSI and WG Golf with San Miguel Purefoods Corp., LK Marketing and Whealth, Inc. as major sponsors.
