Reinir Padua - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A rookie policeman lost his motorcycle after it was forcibly taken from him in his neighborhood in Quezon City at past midnight Friday.

Police Officer 1 Jeffrey Dalistan, 27, of Barangay Gulod, Novaliches, lost his Yamaha Mio Soul (2871-UM) to two armed men at past 1 a.m., Senior Police Officer 1 Ariel Velasco said.

Dalistan, assigned to the Quezon City Police District’s Public Safety Battalion, said the robbers were also on a motorcycle and at least one of them was armed with a handgun.

Dalistan was driving his motorcycle in the area when the robbers drove by. One of the robbers pulled out a gun and started to take Dalistan’s motorcycle, Velasco said.

Dalistan tried resisting but one of the robbers pistol-whipped him on the head. After one robber boarded Dalistan’s motorcycle, the two men quickly drove off.
