Eight teams to see action in Duke Frasco Cup

CEBU, Philippines — A total of eight teams will slug it out for hardcourt supremacy in the Cong. Duke Frasco Invitational Basketbal Cup slated on March 20-22 at the Panphil B. Frasco Memorial Sports Complex in Liloan, Cebu.
Aside from host Liloan, the other title contenders of the three-day tilt organized by Liloan Councilor Kath Jumapao, Ian Callet of CSAS and Jover Pisao are Compostela, Danao, Carmen, Catmon, Sogod, Cebu City, and Lapu-Lapu City.
They will play under a knockout format until the finals.
The champion will take home P200,000, with the first runner-up pocketing P100,000.
Teams reaching the second round are guaranteed P20,000 each while those eliminated early will receive a P10,000 consolation prize.
“This tournament will jumpstart the opening of the new Panphil Frasco Gym in Liloan, which will be fully air conditioned and has wooden floors. It also boasts of six dugouts as well as comfortable seats and a VIP lounge so it is great for Liloan,” said Jumapao.
