Vitor, Asilo topbill Kumong Bol-anon XX
CEBU, Philippines — PMI Bohol Stable mainstays Virgel Valiente Vitor and Gerwin The Gladiator Asilo will take center stage against separate foes in the Kumong Bol-anon XX of PMI Bohol Boxing Promotions slated on March 9 in Tagbilaran City.
Vitor (22-4, 15KOs) will trade blows with Rey Ramos (8-16-03, 3KOs) from Cainta, Rizal in a six-rounder super featherweight matchup, while Asilo will slug it out with Jenny Boy Camiguin Tiger Boca (4-17, 12KOs) in another six-rounder under the bantamweight division.
Vitor was stripped of his WBO Oriental super featherweight belt after losing by fifth round TKO to Chinese brawler Yeerjialahasi Laayibieke in his last bout on July 27 last year in his hometown.
On the other hand, Asilo bowed to the undefeated Japanese prospect Tenshin Nasukawa by unanimous decision in their WBO Asia-Pacific bantamweight title showdown on October 14, 2024 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
The rest of the slam-bang card features Leonard Pores III (5-0, 4KOs) vs Dennis Gaviola (3-6-2, 2 KOs), Datu Adam (2-0, 2 KOs) vs Rex Bautista (3-2-1, 1KO), and Freshler Utrera (1-0, 1KO) vs Jethro Lusorio (0-1).
