CEBU, Philippines — Cebuano basketball skills trainer Jeff Codera reached another significant milestone in his career.

Just recently, Codera joined Golden State’s NBA players Brandin Podziemski and Moses Moody in sharing their knowledge of the  sport to the participants of the Warriors Basketball Academy Overnight Camp held at the old Warriors training facility in Oakland, California.

During the four-day clinic spearheaded by Golden State Warriors Basketball Academy Vice President Jeff Addiego and Senior Manager Ben Clarfield, Codera and his fellow trainers shared to the young ballers aged nine to 15 years old a wide range of skills - from ball handling to shooting, passing, one-on-one play, attacking the basket, proper defensive positioning, and much more.

Coach Jeff said they were also given the chance to deliver a motivational speech to the campers, instilling in them a sense of respect, discipline, and good attitude on and off the court which are very essential for them to grow not only as skilled players but also athletes of character.

“A fun-filled experience, the academy provided each camper an opportunity to work on their game, improve their skills, and play the right way,” said Codera, who is a member of the Warriors training camp for 10 years now.

“More than enhancing their skills level, the campers were taught on the right values which they can use not only in games but also in their daily life,” added the pride of Tabok, Mandaue City who is also known as “Man of a Million Drills”.

For the 42-year-old Codera, being part of the overnight camp is very special and important for everyone involved as it was held in line with the 25th anniversary of Warriors Basketball Academy in honing hoop talents across the Bay Area.

“I am truly thankful to God for this wonderful blessing,” said Codera, the basketball head coach and sports consultant of the municipality of San Remigio in northern Cebu.”As a Filipino, I’m very proud to be part of such a momentous event that I will surely cherish in my lifetime.” – EBV
