Metro Ballers now 3-0 in Inter-Bank caging

MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Ballers remained undefeated in the Hoop Nation Inter-Bank Basketball League at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

They bested the Metro Hoopers, 59-53, to grab the solo lead with a perfect 3-0 record.

Royet Varga finished with a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds laced with two assists for the Metro Ballers.

On the other hand, the Cebu Bankers downed BPI Talisay, 78-73, to finally barge into the win column.

Wilkin Sanchez, a former varsity player of the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars and Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildcats in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI), dropped 21 points on top of seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal to help the Cebu Bankers snap out of their two-game jinx. — EBV
