Moalboal jins bag five medals in Alegado Cup

CEBU, Philippines —  Moalboal stamped its class in the 2nd Mayor Teresa Alegado Cup Taekwondo Tournament, winning five medals in the one-day tilt held at the  Barangay Jugan gym in Consolacion recently.

Louis Laurel Macasaol and Chantal Hinderycky both bagged a gold medal, while Zachary Vince Umbay and Chamira Hinderycky got a silver medal each.

Azariah Seth Oriente produced the lone bronze medal for the Southern 45ers Taekwondo Moalboal.

Mayor Inocentes Cabaron, who initiated a free grassroots training program last Summer for Moalboal residents, commended the team members and their parents for bringing honor to the town during their courtesy call. He urged them to continue training so they keep on excelling in their field. — EBV
