Conduent, TDCX off to flying starts in Hoop Nation Inter-BPO League

CEBU, Philippines — Conduent and TDCX got off to the best possible start they could in the maiden Hoop Nation Inter-BPO League powered by Hype Pro Power Drink at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Conduent held off the Bankers, 74-69, while TDCX crushed Omega Health Care, 51-30. Vince Jan Frasco showed the way for Conduent with a solid double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds spiced with four blocks.

On the other hand, Ed Acuña finished with 13 points, three assists, and one steal to power TDCX to a 21-point rout of Omega Health Care.  The first four teams to see action in the league’s inaugural season are in the East Coast together with Techma Fuse, Techma Nights, TTEC, Dynnino, Synchrony, TDCX, Real Page, Optum, and Iploy.

Fighting it out in the West Coast are Newfold Wolves, Accenture, Amazon, OP360, Tech Mighties, Homesourced Inc., Fusion, Xtend_Ops, Wipro, and Tahche Outsourcing Services.

They will play a single round robin in the elimination. Only eight teams per division will advance to the playoffs, with the top four enjoying a twice-to-beat advantage.

The titleholders in the East and West Coast will then face off each other in a best-of-three series for the historic overall crown. — EBV (FREEMAN)
