Guiseppe, Guardian Strikers dominate

CEBU, Philippines — Giuseppe FC and the Guardian Strikers snatched two titles each in the Generation Amazing Festival/Sama-Sama Games 2018 at Sisters of Mary School-Girlstown in Talisay City over the weekend.
Giuseppe FC topped the mixed Under 9 and boys 15 division while the Guardian Strikers ruled the mixed 11 and girls 15 class of this free futsal event.
In the mixed Under 9 finals, Giuseppe smothered Kamagayan, 3-0, via penalty shootout. Giuseppe then bested Bayawan, 2-0, to lord it over the boys 15 age group.
Interestingly, the Guardian Strikers snared their crowns against Giuseppe FC with identical scores of 2-1 in the mixed 11 and girls 15.
Bayawan emerged as champion in the boys 17 after edging Generation Amazing, 1-0, but missed the girls 17 title after bowing to Alcoy, 1-2.
The Talisay Razkals, for their part, dominated the boys 13 battle, while Balamban took home the mixed under-7 crown. (FREEMAN)
