Remolino, Alcoseba rule Dip N Dash
CEBU, Philippines - Kim Remolino and Raven Faith Alcoseba topped their respective divisions in the Dip N Dash Aquathlon at the Green Lagoon in Compostela, Cebu, yesterday.
Talisay City’s Remolino finished the battle in one hour, 13 minutes and 11 seconds, 38 seconds ahead of Rider Omega Pro’s Paul Jumamil. Jorry Ycong placed third with 1:14:49.
In the distaff side, Alcoseba was too much for her opponents as dominated the race with a time of 1:32:20, followed by Karen Andrea Manayo (1:37:49) and Rider Omega Pro’s Cianyl Gonzales (1:43:24).
In the age-age groups, Alton Amo snared the 19-below title in 1:21:41, while Diane Kaye Sy ruled the women’s class in 1:58:10. Franz Baguio won the 30-39 men’s class in 1:23:05, as June Marq Ocana was unopposed in the women’s division. Tony Cobardo (1:44:44) and Mary Luz Shimizu (1:54:41) finished first in their respective class in the 40-49 division.
Ralph Eduard So lorded it over at the half standard distance event with a time of 39:35, while Lorraine Hann reigned supreme in the girls’ class with 44:05 clocking.
Catherine Yu grabbed the title in the girls division of the kids action with 24:10 clocking as Ernest John Racaza finished first with 21:43 in the boys class. — (FREEMAN)
