Padawan leads contenders for masters event in Sinulog bowlfest
CEBU, Philippines - Vivian Padawan grabbed the temporary lead among entries vying for slots in the masters event of the 17th Sinulog Open National Bowling Tournament at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City.
After three days of action in the singles, doubles and team competition, Padawan of Bowlingplex Tenpin Association-PSCB tallied the highest number of pinfalls at 1,325, so far.
Bede Ilano jumped to second spot with 1,310 pins followed by Boy Co with 1,281, while erstwhile leader Oscar Ornopia slipped to fourth with an output of 1,277.
Padawan and Tess Regino also lead the pack in the doubles event with 804 pinfalls, while the tandem of BTA President Bel Suelto and Dede Ilano stands at second with 801 pins.
In the team event, BTA's Xyrra Cabusas, Aui Padawan and Bede Ilano are on top of the heap with 1,252 pinfalls.
Meanwhile, Clarence Tiu posted the highest scratch in a single game with 245, while Razel Nilsen had it in the distaff side with 220. (FREEMAN)
