Fly Boys keep Division 3 lead in USC-NABC caging

CEBU, Philippines – Don Adlawan had 15 points as the 2008 Fly Boys whipped the 2004 Rebels, 81-62, to keep their hold of the Division 3 lead in the University of San Carlos-North Alumni Basketball Conference (USC-NABC) Sinulog Cup basketball tournament at the USC-North Campus gym along Gen. Maxilom Avenue, Cebu City.

In the other Division 3 game last Friday, ex-Warrior Giovanni Padillo exploded for 30 points to lead the 2006 Fury past the younger 2010 Pioneers, 69-63. Also scoring in double figures for Fury was co-captain Justin de los Reyes with 23.

Last Saturday, the 1998 Sipat shocked Division 2 champion 2001 Dos Mil Uno, 62-52, to earn a share of lead with the '99ers on identical 6-1 win-loss records.

Cromwell Po led Sipat with 28 points, while Bryan Christoper Toledo added 12 markers.

Only Carlos Campos finished  in double figures for Dos Mil Uno with 18.

Also in Division 2, the 2000 Millennium demolished the USC NC Faculty, 85-63. Ali Ray Caballo and Ryan Cahibaybayan paced the Millennium squad with 41 points combined, while Lex Lauron and Patrick Polina chipped in 16 and 10 points as they improved their win-loss card to 5-1. (FREEMAN)
