DTCC shines in Bacolod dancesports

CEBU, Philippines - Dancesports Team Cebu City showcased their wares in the recently concluded 2015 City of Smiles Dancesports Competition in Bacolod City.

Team Cebu City directress Eleanor Hayco showed her versatility to win the senior division five-dance in both latin and modern standard events.

Hayco paired with Lloyd Bartolini to rule the standard, while she and Jimmy Noel dominated the latin action. Jeffrey Ruben Benarao and Therese Andre Quilaton topped the amateur rising star division.

The tandem of John Paul Mocorro and Mary Joy Dumosdong settled for silver in the youth open standard, while Inoe and Eijen Rended grabbed a bronze medal in the pre-amateur latin.

Romeo Cialbo and Luzviminda Poiters got a silver medal along with Ronald Ruiz and Jocelyn Versteeg in the teacher-student 2-dance and T-S-4- dance, respectively.

Wilbert Aunzo and cross-dresser Jefferson Pimentel reigned supreme in the third kind open five-dance latin as Mocorro and Kevin Minoza placed second and Estillore and Samson Orlanos in third place.—Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (FREEMAN)
