All set for Batang Pinoy tiff

CEBU, Philippines - Everything is already in place for the Philippine National Youth Games-Batang Pinoy National Championships set to kick off on November 27 at the Cebu City Sports Center.

Delegates in the week-long joust co-hosted by Cebu Province, and the cities of Mandaue and Danao are expected to arrive starting on the 24th.

A refresher's course will take place on the 25th and 26th for the officiating officials of the different sports covered.

The sporting events set at CCSC are athletics,swimming, rugby,and sepak takraw.

Badminton will be held at MetroSports in Lahug, beach volley at Fort San Pedro, boxing and cheerleading at the Cebu Coliseum and chess at DepEd-Cebu City division office.

Futsal will be done at Don Bosco Technology Center, handball at the Cebu City Sports Institute, karatedo at Gaisano Capital-South, while soft and regular tennis competition will be at CitiGreen and Alta Vista Golf and Country Club.

Volleyball will be at the Sacred Heart gym, wushu at the Cebu Eastern College, table tennis and dancesport at the Cebu Capitol social hall.

Mandaue, on the other hand, will host arnis and weightlifting at their sports complex as well as wrestling and pencak silat at Barangay Ibabao gym.

Danao will take charge of triathlon at the Boardwalk, cycling in Manlayag, softball at the Ramon Durano Sr.Sports Complex and 3-on-3 basketball at the the Danao City Sports and Civic Center.— Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (FREEMAN)
