Cebuano junior triathletes to join Hong Kong triathlon

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu's top junior triathletes pushes through their participation in this year's  Hong Kong Life ASTC Sprint Triathlon Asian Cup 2015 at Lantau Island, Hong Kong tomorrow despite some having trouble along the way.

Leading the cast is Justin Chiongbian who is set to compete in the men's elite alongside other top national team triathletes Nikko Huelgas, John Chicano, Jonard Saim, Edward Macalalad, Mark Hosana and Deo Timbol.

Justin's brother, Yuan will compete in a lower division.

Other Cebuano triathletes seeing action are brothers Ralph Eduard and Russel So, Issa Priagula, Aaliyah Mataragnon and Nicole Marie del Rosario. 

Mataragnon aimed for a better performance even if she was forced to stop her final phase of training due to viral infection.

  Nicole, on other hand, got dengue fever that down her for a week.

Both Mataragnon and Del Rosario almost withdrew their entry but decided to push through their bid since everything in their travel and participation had already been arranged. (FREEMAN)
