Freedom Badminton Cup set Aug. 21-23

CEBU, Philippines - Local shuttlecock artists gear up for the 2015 Freedom Badminton Cup slated on August 21-23 at the Cebu City Sports Center.

It will be an exciting event to watch as organizers have set a category for all levels - elementary, high school and open division.

The doubles tournament will be played under a single round robin format.

For categories with a single group, the top two pairs will advance to the final round. For those with two groups, the top two pairs in each group will clash in a knockout semifinal.

For those with three groups, the top pair in each group will play in a round robin finals, while those with four groups, the top pairs in each group after the elimination will figure in a sudden-death semifinals, with the winners slugging it out for the championship.
