DBTC claims under-15 crown in Aboitiz football

CEBU, Philippines- Don Bosco Technology Center scored back-to-back title in the 17th Aboitiz Football Cup after taking away the boys under-15 division crown against Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, 2-0, yesterday at the SHS-AdC football field in Brgy.Canduman, Mandaue City.

Kyle Ronquillo connected with a goal in the 37th minute for the Bosconian, before Roygbiv Barro made the assurance goal for coach Dave Gerali's squad on the 44th minute.

DBTC denied SHS-AdC a chance for a back-to-back title after ruling the under-11 division the other day.

Ronquillo was named Most Valuable Player while Jessie Semblante got the best goal keeper award as Gian Teves claimed the best defender. SHS-AdC's Joshua Shield won the best midfielder and Leo Roquillo as the best striker.

DBTC also got a bonus when it’s Team B handled by coach Dennis Penalosa won the third place trophy over Cebu Dynamo FC, 3-1.

Meanwhile, Paref Springdale meets the University of Southern Philippines Foundation for the boys 18 champion today, while DTBC collides with Leylam FC in the battle for third at the Cebu City Sports Center.  (FREEMAN)
