All set for Santa Fe Beach Games

CEBU, Philippines - It's all systems go for the biggest beach-related, multi-sport event in Santa Fe Bantayan Island, the Santa Fe Beach Games on March 29 to April 5 at the Sugar Beach Resort in Santa Fe.

Aside from the kick-off leg of the 2015 Team Triathlon Series on March 29, there are six other sporting events which athletes can participate. Locals are also expected to get part of the limelight with the inclusion of a banca competition.

A few days after the triathlon comes the Twilight Beach Run and Beach Soccer on April 2.

The beach run will be a 5K action for men and women’s open, while beach soccer is a six-a-side or seven-a-side event according to Go Active Marketing & Events Incorporated's Jerome Mil.

On April 3 will be the 5K open water swim while April 4 has will be the date for the Oceanman, a run-swim event.

For the Oceanman, athletes will deal with a 200m run and a 100m swim for four loops.

Cash prizes will be given away to the top performers in each event except for the Oceanman which will only have medals. (FREEMAN)
