Lahug FC, Cebu Dynamos start strong
CEBU, Philippines - Lahug FC and Cebu Dynamos opened their respective bid with convincing wins in the Aboitiz Football Cup yesterday at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
Lahug FC scored a double victory at the start of their campaign in the mixed under-11 class at San Roque Parish’s football field. Lahug FC didn’t break a sweat as they won their first assignment via default against Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu.
Lahug FC then proved that they are force to be reckoned with a 5-0 whitewash over San Roque Football Club.
SHS-AdC, on the other hand, lost their second game against the University of San Carlos-Basic Education, 5-0.USC-BED missed a double victory after a 1-all draw against San Roque Football.
Lahug FC’s Team B also had a win and a draw on its first day after pulling away a 3-0 victory over BMALV before their 1-all draw with Bright Academy-B.
Suba-basbas also won their first game at the expense of BMALV while Bright Academy-A triumphed against MAD FC, 1-0.
Over at SHS-AdC field, Cebu Dynamo had a two-straight victory in unisex under-9 action. They beat Paref Springdale 4-2, before punishing Consolacion FC, 6-0.
SHS-AdC was still unlucky even on their turf after bowing to Cebu Learning Center, 0-2. USC-BED got a win and a draw in the under-9.
In the all-girls action, St.Theresa's College went off to a hot start in two separate classes against Tabor Hills FC. Theresians defeated Tabor Hills, 6-1, in the under-15 class, while their under-18 squad annihilates Tabor Hills, 6-0.
The Talisay Razkals also made their presence felt after silencing the Bright Academy girls, 5-0. (FREEMAN)
