The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - The final leg of the Tri Team Championship Series will push through as scheduled on February 7 in southern Cebu town of Dalaguete.

This inspite of the damaged bridge in the neigboring Sibonga.

The organizing Sugbutriathlon issued a statement saying that there is a 3.2-kilometer detour for vehicles bypassing the damaged bridge.

"This is to clear out concerns about the damaged Dumlog bridge in Sibonga. Dalaguete is still passable via Sibonga."

On the other hand, the organizers are reminding those interested parties that the deadline for registration is on January 20.

The final leg features a standard and sprint categories plus the kiddie tri action.

Unlike most triathlon events the TTCS is classified according to their skills level and not by age including A, B, C or D for both the male and female entries.

The sprint distance, on the other hand, will have the male and female open and relay.

The kiddie tri will have four age groups:8-under, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-15.

Registratoin fee is pegged at P2,500 for the standard, P2,200 for sprint individual and per member in the sprint relay, and P2,000 in the kiddie tri.

The entry fee includes a race bib, helmer, bike number, Threeofme bike jersey, swim cap, and a fellowship lunch during the awarding.
