Kenyan, Andrin tops Mano Amon Run

CEBU, Philippines - Kenyan Isaac Simat and Cherry Andrin ruled their respective divisions in the 36th Halad Kang Mano Amon Run yesterday at the Danao City boardwalk.

Simat bagged the 12K men’s title after completing the race in 43 minutes and 29 seconds. Michael Largo placed second with the time of 46:05, followed by Robert Daang with 47:05 clocking.

In the women’s side, Andrin took the top honors with 49:15 clocking to beat Keisha Delechos who placed second with the time of 49:28.

On the other hand, Regie Magbulogtong won the 6K men’s title, followed by Jay Hermosilla and Ramonito Lato. Bea Nadine Garcia dominated the women’s class as Odette and Fatima Unabia had a 2-3 finish.

Jerry Laurente and Cherry Rose Mata emerged as the fastest in the Danao City Hall employees division, while Gee Obiso and Kholine Lyshelle Olivar were the fastest in the 3K elementary race.—Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (FREEMAN)
