Andrin, Deleche tops ‘Run to End Human Trafficking’
CEBU, Philippines – Joel Andrin and Iris Deleche emerged as the biggest winners in the premier division of the ‘Run to End Human Trafficking’ yesterday morning at the Hoopsdome in Lapu-Lapu City.
The Lapu-Lapu City-native Andrin bagged the men’s crown after completing the 12- kilometer race in 48 minutes and 57 seconds. He was way ahead of John Michael Canaman (50:06) who placed second as Joey Roca settled for third with his 50:11 clocking.
In the women’s side, Irish Deleche took the top honors with a 1:03:49 clocking. Mary Joy Castor ended up second in 1:03:54, while Jean Dalumpines landed at third in 1:15:36.
Tuedulo Beboso lorded it over at the 6K run after finishing the race in 23 minutes and four seconds. Beboso outpaced ultramarathon champion Brian Lou Guillen who placed second in 25:20.
In the distaff side, Rosemarie Tumamak won the title with a time of 29:00, followed by Mylen Conde (32:09).
Simon Dignos and Gerly Rose Baylon also grabbed part of the limelight after dominating their respective classes under the 3K division. Dignos finishing the race in ten minutes as Baylon registered a time 15:43. (FREEMAN)
