Second PhilHealth Run slated February 15

CEBU, Philippines - PhilHealth will organize their second running event set on February 15 next year starting and ending at the Cebu Business Park, this city.

Unlike their first edition, the organizers decided to do a 20K run, two kilometer longer than their previous 18K category.

They made it into a 20K run to give emphasis to their 20th year anniversary. Simultaneous with the Cebu event, other regional offices nationwide will also hold their own run.

Aside from the 20K, the other categories featured are 10K, 5K and 3K fun. All distances will be open for foreign and local runners.

The 3K division will have two age-groupings for both the men and women’s class which is the 13-years-old and above and 13-under class.

The PhilHealth Run is also a fund raising event for Rotary Club of Cebu and its Gift of Life program as disclosed in yesterday's news conference at the Diamond Suites.

This program addresses the medical needs of children who are suffering from congenital heart defects and other related condition.

Cash prizes are at stake for the winners in each category.

Registration fee is pegged at P650 for 20K, P450 for 10K and P350 for 5K and 3K classes inclusive of event shirt, singlet and post race refreshments.  Entry forms are available at PhilHealth regional office located at Escario corner Gorordo Avenue, this city. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
