BJJ 2nd degree black belt to hold seminar in Cebu

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu will host a Brazilian Jiu jitsu seminar by Fil-American BJJ 2nd degree black belt Jay J Pages on November 8 at the Budokan Cebu inside the Tango Plaza bldg. in Queen’s road, this City.

The seminar is limited to only 40 participants from different mixed martial arts and BJJ clubs in Cebu. It will be filled with a variety of techniques like favorite submissions and modern BJJ.

Pages, a Ciao Terra second degree black belt, who will conduct the training, has been doing BJJ for 18 years and teaching as a black belt for more than six years. Notable students are Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Richie Hightower and UFC commentator Mike Goldberg.

The Cebu-native also has a lot accomplishment in the sport of BJJ including a silver medal in the 2011 Abu Dhabi Pro Trails, three-time gold medalist in the Grapplers Quest and the Absolute Grappling tournament and a gold medal in the IBJJF American Nationals.

Entry fee is pegged at P800 in a first come, first served basis. Participants are also required to provide a BJJ Gi.
