Cebuano triathletes to see action in Xterra World
CEBU, Philippines – A bunch of Cebuano triathletes will try their luck in the 2014 Xterra World Championships in Maui, Hawaii on October 26.
Leading the cast are Xterra pro Joseph Miller and second-timer Jose Merdino “Jomer” Lim. Miller will compete for the first time under the pro division.
The other local bets who will be joining the grueling race are former Cebu City Sports Commissioner Brian Lim, Meyrick Jacalan, Tenggoy Colmenares, Paulo Garcia, Michael Cancio and Reiner Englis.
The Cebuanos and the rest of the Pinoy entries are expected to face tougher opposition as participants have been preparing well to become a certified Xterra warrior.
For his part, Lim, will proceed to the US mainland after the Xterra action to join in this year’s Rock N’ Roll Marathon in Las Vegas alongside siblings Jane-Jane and Andrew Ong. (FREEMAN)
