Team Voltaire dominates maiden Ronda futsal tilt
CEBU, Philippines – Team Voltaire made its maiden victory of the year in futsal (indoor football) more memorable as it emerged as the first champion in the premiere men’s open division of the Ronda Cup the other day.
Led by no less than Voltaire Montebon, Team Voltaire reigned supreme over Badian FC in the final match, 6-1.
After sweeping its elimination round assignments, Team Voltaire sustained its momentum with a 7-2 thrashing of the Titans United to arrange a championship match against Badian FC, which advanced after booting out Moalboal FC, 5-1.
In the final, Team Voltaire took complete command, holding off Badian to only one goal. Aside from Montebon, the other scores for Team Voltaire were Jan Michael Flore, Vince Dionela, and Ronel Saranillo.
Titans United, on the other hand, pulled off a 3-2 squeaker over Moalboal FC in the battle for third place.
