Mier rules Toledo m’bike race

Caecent No-ot Magsumbol - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines -  Decorated Cebuano cyclist John Renee Mier handily topped the premiere class A battle of the 1st Divine Mercy Chapel Moutainbike Circuit Race the other day at Sitio Ada in Awihao, Toledo City.

Mier outsmarted the ever-daring Warren Vinan for the top spot as Roy Carbonera came out third.

Ramonito Espinosa was the fastest in class B, while the second to fourth placers were Kit Cabonita, Ryke Armas, Jun Duran and Jan Cabonita, respectively.

In the category C, Junar Pamplona took the top honors. Gian Carlo Batac wound up second followed by Ike Cabarles, Jim Siegue and Daniel Calipay.

Francis Hernando edged out Carlo Jan Cabonita to win the special event, while Just Fernandez dominated the all-Toledo action of the one-day tilt organized by the Toledo On-Road Cycling Club in association with Divine Mercy Chapel. — (FREEMAN)
