When Lionel Messi celebrated his 27th birthday last June 24, Adidas unveiled a special Messi birthday edition pair of football cleats, a variation in design on the Adizero TM F50 that he uses. Only 27 pairs were produced, with two signed pairs to be given away. We won't see Messi wearing the shoes during games as it will be used on training sessions only.
Not to be left behind, Nike released also a new pair for Neymar to be used until the end of the World Cup, or up to where Brazil gets into. It's a gold version of the Hypervenom line, inspired by Neymar himself who used to spray-paint his shoes as a 12-year-old. (FREEMAN)
