Adlawan to compete in Malaysia motocross

Lemuel P. Maglinte - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines -  Promising Cebuano rider Jon Eleazar Adlawan gets another chance to showcase his wares on foreign shores via the first leg of the FIM Asian Motocross Championship on April 10-13 in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia.

“I want to improve my performance because I was down in the rankings last year. I hope that joining regular races helped me prepare this time,” said Adlawan, who also competed in the Indonesia leg of the FIM race last year.

Aside from the experience he gained while training in Denmark, Adlawan also went through several tune-up races including the Man and Machine Supercross Series that made him extra confident of making his mark in Malaysia.

Last year, Adlawan placed second overall in the 10-leg series next to veteran motocross star Glenn Aguilar.

Adlawan, who will be the Philippines' bet in the 150cc class, will be joined by elite Pinoy riders from Luzon led by the top-rated Kenneth San Andres.  (FREEMAN)
