Lemuel P. Maglinte - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines -  Mindanao rider Rhowell ‘Bornok’ Mangosong  outmaneuvered multi-titled Cebuano daredevil Jon Eleazar Adlawan to rule the pro open category during the the second leg of Man and Machine Supercross Series the other day at the South Road Properties (SRP) grounds near St. Pedro Calungsod's Shrine.

The two young riders fought neck-to-neck from the onset, but it was Mangosong who seized a comfortable lead over Adlawan in the final lap.

Jubenile Abellar settled for third place, while John Flores and Jacob Orbe rounded up the top five finishers.

It was a double celebration for Mangosong as he also ruled the pro lite category, edging out Abellar and Adlawan.

Like Mangosong, Jougee Basco also scored a twinkill via the intermediate and beginners open production. Flores claimed the top spot in the novice open production, Esrael Larido lorded it over in the underbone class, while RK Cuesta snared the women’s crown.

The rest of the winners were Charlie Pascua (peewee 50cc), Bill Pepito (peewee 65cc and mini), Clinton Gualiza (local enduro), Jed Luna (open enduro), Dexter Bacabac (veterans A), and Roscel Gungob (veterans B and C).  (FREEMAN)
